Another beautiful scenic ride in the Brisbane Water area.
We ride out with the Kincumber Mountain ride as far as Green Point before heading to Davistown. Our route takes us initially along a fairly busy road, but with a good cycle lane, before heading towards Davistown by back roads and cycle paths around the edge of Brisbane Water. We catch a ferry to Empire Bay (you'll need the fare, about $3) and then ride back to Gosford via Woy Woy and coffee.
While the distance is only about 30km there are a couple of moderately steep pinches in the section before Davistown. Nevertheless, it is well within the ability of a person able to handle some traffic and if you are able to maintain about 18-20kmh on the level sections you are more than welcome to join us.
